DESCRIPTION - SOLOMON ISLANDS - POLICE vehicle license plate - one of three made - RARE. I received this plate, along with another full sized and ONE motorcycle version, from a great contact located in Honiara. The plates were put in use on the few vehicles in use, but were soon traded out for G prefix series Government plates with numbers. They probably went beyond a few vehicles, and needed to keep track with numbered plates. My source told me that this plate (along with another pass and mc) were found sliding around inside a desk drawer in the Police station. Probably the toughest of the island types. I actually sold/traded away all three before I started collecting world motorcycle plates, at which point I luckily got the small version back for my set. In the following years, both of the POLICE full sized plates also became available, so I grabbed them up as I had the backstory on them. This is a historical issue, for the old school island collector. At cost 1 - 2 day SHIPPING to US addresses. ?? I don't hold plates - it's an extra level of transaction that eBay doesn't work with, sorry. ?? If you do a BIN, the payment should arrive in 24-48 hours. My single plates are shipped via First Class, or Priority / flat rate priority mail sleeve (depending on order size/overall value/weight) inside a triple fold of long-grain corrugated cardboard for stiffening. If you're worried about plates being damaged, be sure to contact me about paying extra for insurance. Tracking is always included with Priority Mail and heavier rate FC. ?? If there are plates involved, they're rigid - chances are, the package will either be returned, damaged in shipping, or returned to sender or delivered with postage due.
